Sounds like R6RS will make some nice additions to Scheme (Unicode, escape characters, better library support, has tables, etc.). Should make the language more useable and hopefully easier on those students like me who have Scheme as their first language thanks to the Wizard book and then get frustrated by the fact that Scheme used in a large-scale app can be difficult.
